Journy to battle Sin

Daimos glares at the guards then grabs the guard's hand. "You don't want to touch me!" He says fiercely and tightens his grip. The second guard attempts to attack him. Daimos ducks out of the way the throws the guard he holds by the hand into a wall. He darts at him in a blur of motion and grabs his head and slams him into the wall before he could react. He then lets him fall to the ground then turns to the other guard. He cracks his knuckles and starts to walk towards him.

A large bolt of lightning is seen before Daimos. "I am asking you to not be so rude to my guards." Seymour walked out and stood adjescent to Daimos. "What do you need? I have guests over and I would love to not have a conflict before lunch." He added

Daimos looks him over briefly then looks up towards the second floor. He looks at the door then looks back at Seymour. "I was coming here to ask about a way to cross the Thunder Planes...but it seems there is something else here that requires my attention."

"Lunch is only in a few minutes. If you want you can stay here. Just I ask you no to destroy my home. Please, come this way." Seymour gestured the is left and started to walk on to the dining room. "I dont know what you might do so I will also ask you not to hurt the guests I have over. You will be answering to me if you do."

Daimos looks at him evenly then looks over his shoulder towards the main hall. He glances back at Seymour then darts off back to the main hall and up the stairs. He stands in front of the doors and slowly pushes them open. He sees Serenity and Rikku. "What're you two doing here? I thought you were still in Luca..."

Serenity turned to Daimos and was about to speak when the door closed. Behind Daimos was Seymour. He smiled at him and pushed him back a little. "Now why are you spying on them? Anything you have to say to the both of them can be discussed down in the dining room. Now I am asking you, please head down that hallway."

Daimos looks over his shoulder at Seymour then looks back at Serenity and Rikku. He stares at the bit longer then leaves the room and heads back down to the dining room.

"Thank you." Seymour said as he let go of the door's handle. He started to walk right behind Daimos showing him the way to the room. Behind the door Serenity moved around and finally was ready. She helped Rikku a bit then soon they were both all cleaned up. They put their old clothing back on and opened the door, walking down to the Dining room, only a few minutes behind Seymour and Daimos.

Daimos stops and one of the chairs and looks at Seymour. "I'm going to have to ask that you don't stand so closely behind me...I tend to get a little jumpy." He glares at him with glowing red eyes then sits down in his chair.

"You don't scare me." Seymour says as he turns to see the two girls. "Ah, please, come and have a seat." He snapped his fingers and two guards came out. The pulled the chairs out for the two then pushed them in as they sat. Seymour then took his own seat. He snapped his fingers again and more Guados came out of the doors. All of them carrying trays with food under their covers. "Please, eat." Seymour said as the chefs pulled the covers off, reviling food of all kinds.

Daimos glances at Seymour then begins to put food on his plate. He starts to eat slowly while looking around the room, not looking at Serenity and Rikku more than a passing glance. He looks back at Seymour. "So what exactly is your job here? You must get paid alot if you have something like this."

"I am the leader of the Guados. I also overlook all of Spira. There are only three Maesters in all. Kelk of the Ronsos, Wen of the humans, and myself of the Guados. I only recently got this position by the unfortunate death of my father, Jyscal." Serenity was looking at Seymour as he talked. She turned to face Daimos then down at her food.

Daimos chews then swallows a piece of fruit. "Maester, huh? Well what exactly do you do? Are you kind of like a judge or what?" He pauses then looks down at the medallion. "Actually...I have a more important question." He looks at Seymour. "That area east of here...I saw a vision of my mother there...what is it?"

"That, was the Far Plane. Its where the spirits of people resign. if you go up there and think about someone you have lost, an image will appear of them. I am sure you loved to see her, did you not? Most people feel happier when they see someone they had lost. You know they are not rotting somewhere." Seymour explained, his food untouched still.

Daimos looks back down at the medallion. "The Far Plane...so she's...well at least I know she loved me." He says distantly as he turns the medallion over and reads the inscription to himself. He tucks the medallion into his shirt then continues to eat silently.

Serenity looked up at Daimos and finally spoke out. "Daimos, why did you decide to leave us back there? What happened to 'I will be by your side till the end?'" She asked putting her fork and knife down on the table.

Daimos stops eating and looks at her intently. "I had some thinking to do...besides, you have Rikku to guard you, you should be alright. There's still something I need to do." He says then slides his chair back. He stands up then nods slightly to Seymour. "Thank you for the food, sorry that I have to leave so suddenly." He says then leaves the room.

Serenity gets up and bows to Seymour. "Rikku stay here, I will be back." Without any reassurance Serenity was off. As Daimos was just about to leave Serenity stopped him. She moved him to a wall and turned him around, her grip was vary lose. "Please Daimos. You can tell me what it is, can't you? We have been through a lot so far. Now you are just going to blow it all away? Please, Daimos. I need something to go off of."

Daimos leans against the wall and looks away. He stands silently then sighs. "It's just that...well...I know what that Sin thing can do...I fought it...I know what it's capable of. And you may not believe this...but it scares me, Serenity! I put damn near all of my power into that attack...and it didn't even flinch! How do we know that it'll be any different when we both fight it?" He asks as he looks at her. For the first time, she actually sees fear in his eyes.

"I know we can, because it will be more then just you attacking it. What will you do when you leave again? Go and try to attack it by yourself? I thought we agreed to fight that thing together. Why would you go back on that agreement? You have to bare with me. I know we can take that thing on. We just have to try together."

Daimos laughs slightly and looks away again. "Yeah, I hope you're right...because there won't be a second chance if we fail...it's death. Just remember that." He says then kisses her on the cheek lightly. "I won't let anything happen to you, Serenity, I promise." He whispers then walks to the doors. "I'll be waiting outside until you two are ready." He says then walks out.

Serenity nods to him and walks back to the dining room. Before they are both out of ear shot she turns her head over her should and stops. "Don't go running off now, okay?" Serenity trusted him and turning her head back to the front, walking on back to the dining room. Serenity got back and explained to Seymour they had to go. He gave the coordinates to the next Fayth and told them out to get there. Serenity thanked him and Rikku stood up out of her chair. Before they left Seymour stopped them. He got up and gave Serenity a gift. He gave her a warm hug and smiled. "That will help you stay safe in the Thunder Planes. When a flash, make sure you stay on your toes and move out of any lighting bolts way. You might have to tell Daimos the same thing." Serenity nodded and started to walk to the main room, Rikku right behind her.

Daimos waits on one of the benches just outside the mansion. Serenity and Rikku come and and he nods slightly then stands up. They begin to walk towards the entrance to the Thunder Plains. They get to the entrance and stop just inside of it. A bolt of lightning strikes a few feet away from them. "And this is where I stopped before...and damn near got charbroiled by a bolt of lightning..."

Serenity smiles to him as she steps out. One more flash is seen but serenity jumps back, the second it hits she lands on the floor and lunges forward again. She turns to the others and starts to sidestep across the planes. moving backwards some now. "Its easy at the most part. just have to know when to move. Thats what Seymour said. He said to stay as close to the lightning rods as possible.

Daimos scratches his head slightly then shrugs and begins to dart across the Plains. He skillfully dodges the bolts of lightning as they strike near him. He stops briefly and sees a strange stone. He darts over to it just as another bolt of lightning strikes. He stands looking at it intently, taking a step to the side every now and then to dodge a bolt of lightning. A strange carving glowly palely on the stone.
